Meeting Trauma in New Mothers
Experiential training with Hilary Jacobson
The focus is teaching what I have learned about neuroplasticity and its application – we learn the theory part but mostly we focus on learning experientially.
We explore how to develop and maintain a calmer center in ourselves while consulting with mothers, even in stressful situations. (Hint – it is much easier than you may think.)
Some participants found relief from their own stress, too, and are applying what they learned to their personal lives as well as to their professional work.
Now I am inviting both healthcare professionals and mothers to contact me for another round of three weekly classes in February. Dates to be set.
If you are interested, contact me at this email address: motherfoodinfo@gmail.com.
I need to know your time zone and if you are a mother, healthcare professional, or both.
For mothers, this February class is free – you are volunteering to help me learn how to teach and help you in an online group. The number of participants is limited to ten.
For healthcare professionals, the fee is $120 for 3 meetings. The number is limited to six.
How the meetings are structured:
For the first 45 – 50 minutes, we learn and practice. Then, anyone who would like can remain to discuss and share, for another 30 – 45 minutes. This way, the course is both an educational opportunity and a peer support group.
The prerequisite is to read Part One of my book Healing Breastfeeding Grief. It can be purchased on Amazon as a book or kindle. If you have kindle unlimited you can read it for free on Amazon.
NEW NEWS: My book Healing Breastfeeding Grief has been translated and published in Russia. I am so excited and grateful. The publisher was looking for inspirational breastfeeding books and mine was chosen. The sometimes debilitating experience of breastfeeding grief is a worldwide, under-recognized, and inadequately supported problem. Thank you Resource Publishing house!
